The Stentor Conservatoire II FINETUNE Violin outfit is an enhanced version of the standard Conservatoire outfit but ths model also comes standard fitted with Wittner finetune pegs. The Wittner finetune pegs look identical to standard pegs but have a precise geared mechanism inside making tuning precise and effortless allowing you to spend time playing your violin, not tuning it!

The Stentor Conservatoire II FINETUNE Violin outfit is the same instrument as the standard Conservatoire II so has the enhanced features of a Wittner tailpiece, quality branded strings (normally Pirastro Tonica) a superior case and a superior bow as well as being fitted with the Wittner finetune pegs making it appreaciably easier to tune.

Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
