The Stentor Student II FINETUNE Cello outfit is exactly the same as the standard Stentor Student II Cello outfit (1108) but with the major difference – the advantage of having Wittner FINETUNE pegs fitted as standard. Wittner finetune pegs look exactly the same but have a fine gearing inside which makes tuning quick and easy. Spend time playing, not tuning!

The Stentor Student II FINETUNE Cello outfit is hand made in the Stentor factory. It is a higher grade instrument made of select tonewoods. The quality of the carving and expert workmanship results in an excellent student cello which is highly recommended by teachers and students worldwide. Outfit comes complete with a bag, bow and Wittner finetune pegs fitted as standard.

The cello is set up standard with the factory fitted strings but we offer the option here of further enhancing the sound of the cello by upgrading the strings. You can, of course, upgrade to any string of your choice but we offer 3 of the most popular here: D’Addario Prelude or Larsen Aurora strings or Jargar Original strings.

Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
