The Stentor Student I FINETUNE Cello outfit is hand carved from select tone woods, has ebonised fittings, a tailpiece with integral adjusters and Wittner Finetune pegs and comes complete with a padded bag and a wood bow. Correctly set up in our workshop and ready to play.

The next level up in the Stentor range is the Stentor student II cello outfit

The instrument is set up as standard with the factory fitted strings but we offer here the option of further enhancing the sound of your cello by upgrading the strings to either D’Addario Prelude or Larsen Aurora strings.

Stentor Student I FINETUNE Cello outfit set up by Caswells Strings (buying with confidence): We don’t sell different levels of set-up – we believe every instrument should have a gold set-up as standard, not something you have to pay for! Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
