Description

The Stentor Profundo Double Bass is an orchestral, soloist double bass. This is a superbly crafted double bass with selected close, even grain spruce front and highly figured maple back, sides and neck. It features decorative carving on the front, back, edges and head.

The Profundo double bass is an excellent handcrafted instrument, carved from selected solid tonewoods, with inlaid purfling. This instrument is individually workshop fitted.

Caswell’s Strings set up: Instruments badly set-up or worse still, not set up at all, can hamper a students progress or even lead to the student giving up. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument to exact standards and specifications. The bridge is correctly cut and the soundpost correctly positioned. The machine heads, and where applicable, the case and bow are checked. With basses it is always recommended that you can come and try the instrument and take it away with you but if this is not possible, instruments are shipped with the bridge up.
