The Stentor Elysia Double Bass is hand made high grade orchestral model. It is made from select and figured tonewoods with a fully carved back and front. It has an ebony fingerboard, quality machine heads, good quality bridge and flexible core strings.

The Stentor Elysia Double Bass is for the advancing student. Correctly set up in our workshop. Available in 3/4 size.

Caswell’s Strings set up: Instruments badly set-up or worse still, not set up at all, can hamper a students progress or even lead to the student giving up. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument to exact standards and specifications. The bridge is correctly cut and the soundpost correctly positioned. The machine heads, and where applicable, the case and bow are checked. With basses it is always recommended that you can come and try the instrument and take it away with you but if this is not possible, instruments are shipped with the bridge up.
