What is the “SRT Powered System”?

The SRT (Studio Response Technology) Powered System is a digital technology that adds natural timbre and resonance—body resonance—in real time to instruments without large resonant bodies, like the Silent Cello®, based on analysis of acoustic instrument sounds.

The SRT Powered System is a proven technology also used in our electric violins and Silent Bass®. Rather than relying on sampled sounds, it adds resonance to the analogue signal from the instrument’s pickup, faithfully reproducing the player’s unique expression.

Caswells Strings Setup: We do not just ship boxes. The Yamaha SVC300C Silent Cello does require setting up and the bridge cut. We take care to do this properly in our onsite workshop to ensure optimum playability.
