Westbury Double Bass by Eastman Strings

The Westbury Double Bass by Eastman Strings is a hand finished, workshop bass. It has a two piece back in figured maple and spruce with inlaid purfling. It has an ebony fingerboard, fitted Tyrolean model machine heads and a smooth action endpin with brass key. Boxwood tailpiece with metal ‘gut’.

The Westbury has a very resonant sound and excellent response. This bass is ideal for advancing students to intermediate players.

Set up with Thomastik Spirocore strings which will further enhance the sound.

Instrument only, bag and bow available separately. Available in 3/4 size

Westbury Double Bass set-up by Caswells Strings | Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect to the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. We operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. A set-up in our workshop includes shaping and cutting the bridge, rosining the bow (where applicable) and adjusting the soundpost. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
