(2 customer reviews)

The Wedge Cushion 11 degree is one of our best selling products! Sitting for long periods on an unsuitable chair will almost inevitably result in low back pain.

The Wedge cushion is widely used by violinists, violists and cellists to correct spinal position and ensure good playing posture. While you concentrate on your playing, the wedge tilts the pelvis to the optimum 11° keeping the spine in its natural position.

The 11 degree Wedge cushion is now available with the coccyx relief cut out for comfort where sensitive areas need to be isolated from the corrected seating posture.

The size and shape is excellent – but unfortunately is slightly harder than is appropriate for the cellist for whom it was bought

If you wish to use this cushion for postural support, it needs to be firm otherwise it will squash down and not have any effect on the way you are sitting. I have used this cushion for many years especially when I have to use a chair that does not have a flat seat or one that is too low. It is still possible to have poor posture with this seat cushion by overarching the lower/mid back when using it, but so long as you bear this in mind (try using a mirror when you practise to check) it is a huge help.
