The Pirastro Obligato Violin D string (Silver wound) has a silver winding over a modern synthetic multi filament fibre core.

The silver winding gives the Obligato D a full and penetrating sound. Obligato strings very stable and resistant to changes in temperature and humidity, They are well known as an ‘all-round’ string which has a warm and rich tone with excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range.

Also available with aluminium winding.
