The Jay Haide 104 Violin is a step up violin, ideal for a quality first-time adult instrument, a second violin for advanced players or simply a superb upgrade for a student progressing through the grades!

The 104 Superior model is hand crafted using beautiful flamed aged maple and finished with an attractive golden orange varnish. It is properly set up in our workshop with a Despiau bridge, Wittner tailpiece and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings giving it a full and warm tone.

Jay Haide 104 Violin set up by Caswells Strings: Instruments not properly set up can be very detrimental to the performance and feel of an instrument, affecting progress and enjoyment and even leading to the player being put off for life. We operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument in our workshop to exact standards and specifications regardless of whether it is an entry level or an advancing instrument. The bridge and top nut is correctly cut and the soundpost correctly positioned. The pegs, fingerboard, case and bow (where applicable) are checked. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
