The Superflexible Cello string set comprises four strings which all have a rope core and are wound with Chrome. Thomastik Superflexible cello strings are an advance over conventional strings – the solid core has been replaced by a cable-type structure made up of braided steel threads. This reduces the strings stiffness but increases it’s elasticity and therefore this string has an incomparable response and its tone seems to literally radiate from the instrument, with minimal harshness, which sounds soft and brilliant.

For duration of life, stability of tuning and perfect fifths, the string is exceptional. Superflexible cello strings are reliable all-rounders, suitable for all kinds of bowing styles.

Available for 4/4, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 cello.
