Primavera 150 Violin outfit (4/4-1/4 size)

£132.00£170.00

The Primavera 150 Violin outfit is very similar to the best selling Prima 100 outfit with the main difference being it has a full ebony fingerboard. This improves the sound and durability of the instrument. It comes with ebony fittings as standard including quality, ebony pegs which are longer lasting, easier to tune & keep their shape longer.

So what is the difference between the Primavera 150 Violin and the next level up, the Primavera 200 violin? Technically they are similar but the Prima 200 is a better instrument all round and also has a satin finish.

The Primavera 150 Violin outfit comes complete with a shaped case and a hardwood bow. The instrument is correctly set-up in our workshop with the standard factory fitted steel strings but we do offer the option of upgrading the violin by upgrading the strings. Upgrading the strings to branded, synthetic core strings will further enhance the instrument giving it a warmer and fuller sound. You can of course add any preferred string on our website to your basket and request they be fitted to the violin but we offer here three of the most popular set-ups as standard options: set up with Thomastik Alphayue strings, Larsen Aurora or Pirastro Tonica strings

The next level up in the range is the Primavera 200 violin outfit with ebony fittings.

Primavera 150 Violin outfit set-up by Caswells Strings | We don’t sell different levels of set-up – we believe every instrument should have a gold set-up as standard, not something you have to pay for! Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
