Pirastro Oliv Double Bass string set

The Pirastro Oliv Double Bass string set has a sheep gut core which is manufactured, finely wound and polished in the traditional way – by hand. Pirastro Oliv Double Bass strings have a beautiful gut sound. They can withstand a heavier bow arm and sound dark and powerful when bowed. They are suitable for both Arco and Pizzicato. The individual strings are also available as follows:

  • Double Bass E string: Green on the peg end and white with Olive Green winding on the tailpiece end. 
  • Double Bass A string: Black on the peg end and white with Olive Green winding on the tailpiece end. 
  • Double Bass D string: Red on the peg end and white with Olive Green winding on the tailpiece end. 
  • Double Bass G string: Brown on the peg end and white with Olive Green winding on the tailpiece end. 

Oliv double bass strings are only available to special order – normal delivery time 3-4 days
