The Pirastro Oliv Double Bass D string has a sheep gut core which is manufactured, finely wound and polished in the traditional way – by hand. Pirastro Oliv Double Bass strings have a beautiful gut sound. They can withstand a heavier bow arm and sound dark and powerful when bowed. They are suitable for both Arco and Pizzicato. The D string is also available as part of the full set here.

Double Bass D string: Red on the peg end and white with Olive Green winding on the tailpiece end. 

Oliv double bass strings are only available to special order – normal delivery time 3-4 days
