Passione Violin G string

Description

The Pirastro Passione Violin G string has a gut core with a silver winding. Passione is a modern, reliable gut string for the demanding violin professional. The core sound is full, round and warm and has a complex overtone spectrum with brilliance, clarity and a powerful projection.

The sheep gut core of the Passione strings is manufactured, wound and polished in the traditional way, by hand. Compared to other gut core strings, Passione have a significantly reduced playing in time. The G is available on its own or as part of a set

Special feature on the Passione violin G string:

The length of the coloured peg end of the Passione violin G string is different than the length of the A and D strings. This has been done intentionally and is part of the construction of the G string.   The special length of the G-string’s colour winding at the peg end prevents the string from breaking in the peg box.  It is expected to take two or three days for the string to stop stretching after which the silk winding will no longer extend as far as the top nut. On some violins it may take longer and on others, the string may fit from the start
