The Hidersine Venezia Finetune Violin outfit is exactly the same as the standard Venezia outfit with the only big difference being it is fitted with the excellent Wittner finetune pegs as standard.
The Hidersine Venezia Violin outfit features a solid spruce table, carved figured maple ribs and back, and an antiqued Rouge-Brown Oil Varnish finish. It has an ebony Fingerboard, tailpiece and saddle. The outfit comes complete with a fully mounted octagonal brazilwood stick bow and quality oblong case.
The Venezia outfit is ideal for the advancing student, looking to advance from an entry level instrument, and should see the violinist through to the upper grades. This outfit is a recommended option for adults starting out and looking for a good instrument that will last them many years.
Upgrade strings?: The Venezia is set up with the factory fitted Hidersine strings but we offer here an option to further enhance the instrument by upgrading the strings to branded, synthetic core strings which will further enhance the tonal warmth and sound. You can of course add any preferred string on our website to your basket and request they be fitted to the violin but we offer here two of the most popular set-ups as standard options: set up with Pirastro Tonica strings or the best selling Thomastik Dominant strings.

As a beginner in my 50s, I bought this violin (with Dominant strings) due to this recommendation: “This outfit is a recommended option for adults starting out and looking for a good instrument that will last them many years.” I’ve only been playing for 2 months but I’m loving it thanks to the combination of my excellent teacher & this beautiful violin. My teacher seems impressed with this violin. Of course her playing makes it sound amazing but I can already enjoy some of the sounds that I’m making. When I get it right, the violin sings. It was supplied well set-up by Caswells.
My only (big) gripe is the case. My Everest shoulder rest will not fit in. My teacher says that is unusual. Eventually I had to ‘modify’ the case with a knife to accommodate the rest. Also, the case opens to barely 90 degrees, so it keeps closing on me while I’m getting the violin in and out. I’m now looking for a different case to transport this beautiful violin.
