It’s not necessary to use all the parts, just choose the ones that best suit your players. There are flexible parts for C, B flat and E flat instruments, piano and bass. Each tune has a melody line for C, B flat or E flat instruments.

Most tunes have some improvisation starter notes which can be used throughout the piece to create solos and give confidence to beginner improvisers. On the included backing track CD the backing accompaniments for each piece are repeated four times to allow for optional improvised solos.
