The Cello ToneRite 3rd generation is the newest and most advanced ToneRite yet – a fine example of technology meeting tradition. Every aspect of the ToneRite has been meticulously crafted and designed to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Cello ToneRite fits over the bridge of the instrument and transfers energy into the body via the same physics as when it is being bowed. An initial ToneRite treatment of 72-144 hours is recommended. It will be the first step in achieving your instrument’s top potential. Subsequent treatments will be required to maintain and further develop your instrument. The ToneRite is not designed to make a poor instrument great, it is simply designed to bring out the best in an instrument. Your instrument will retain its individual character, with enhanced balanced tone and playability.
Some of the improvements of the Cello ToneRite 3rd generation:
- Now 220V so doesn’t need a converter. It does however come with a 2-pin plug and will need a simple adaptor to suit UK plug sockets (not supplied)

Due to the nature of this product, it cannot be returned. If for any reason it is faulty it will be replaced like for like.

I have just finished the initial 114 hour treatment of my cello with my new ToneRite and I am VERY impressed with the result. I had my doubts before hand as to quite how much difference it would make, as it is not a new instrument (early twentieth century JTL) and a lot of what I read about the ToneRite was promoting it as a way of speeding up the process playing in new instruments, but the change is quite remarkable, not just the tonal improvement (particularly in the middle register, the change in the D and G strings is astonishing) but also overall responsiveness. As this is the third generation of the mechanism according to the literature it came with, and that would suggest therefore that it has been around for a while, I am fairly amazed that it is not more widely known about. One word of warning, on it’s highest frequency setting it does emit a fairly loud and insistent hum, so you may want to turn it down to a lower setting at night, as I did. I am very happy with this little machine and would recommend it to anyone.
