Description
Of all Arcus bows, the Arcus M5 Viola bow is the most similar to the fine old French and German master made bows. It is very easy to play and its full, rich and warm sound unfolds without any significant effort.
The M series are excellent for smaller or brighter sounding violas, bringing out the warmth and strength of the sound.

What is the difference between the T-series, M-series and the P-series Viola bows?
The P-series with their very strong stick and balanced sound are the perfect match for larger violas with higher string tension. Their elasticity is similar to a cello bow but the weight just a little above that of a 20th century violin bow offering great power but superior agility.
The M-series are a perfect fit for all smaller violas. They draw a warm, full sound which is open and clear, not the least nasal but rich and sonorous with great projection. The elasticity of their sticks is designed to match the shorter, softer strings of smaller instruments. Their weight is similar to traditional violin bows, which provides great playability and comfort.
M | More flexible and heavier, warm, rich sound |
P | Strong as the S-series, weight similar to the M-series, nicely balanced sound |
T | Universal, offering sound both warm and brilliant |
