Caswells Violin Rental
Caswells Violin Rental scheme is here to help you – Its straight forward, flexible and affordable with the first six months rental going toward the cost of purchasing the Violin. We only rent out new instruments and we do not touch the cheap ‘shops-own brand’ end of the market but offer quality branded products that have been tried and tested for decades. It has been proved that the drop-out rate is 25% lower when a student starts on a quality instrument.
Violin Rental Cost:
Stentor II Violin £10/month
Stentor Conservatoire £20/month
Initial payment is 3 months up front. Monthly payment is by Direct Debit from month 4. You can rent as long as you wish thereafter but only 6 months rental will go toward the final purchase price. You may purchase the instrument you have which will be new or put the 6 months rental toward another instrument.
Upgrade:
You can choose to have better strings fitted to the violin. This will further enhance the sound of the violin:
Upgrade with D’Addario Prelude strings +£19.95
Upgrade with Dominant strings +£49.95
This is a one-off cost and does not affect the ongoing monthly rental charge
As with all our instruments we take great care in setting up the instrument properly, including the bridge, pegs, top nut and fingerboard.
How does it work?
Decide what level is right for you. Your teacher can advise you or give us a call to chat it over.
Fill in the rental form here and save it to your desktop
Fill in the Direct Debit mandate here. The start date for the Direct Debit payments will be 3 months from today
Go to checkout and complete the order.
Email the completed rental form to us on sales@caswellsstrings.com
We will automatically get a copy of the direct debit mandate.
Once this is all complete, we will process your order and dispatch the instrument as soon as we can. Please DO NOT book lessons until you have your instrument. We cannot always guarantee delivery by a certain date and will not be held responsible for missed lessons.
Purchasing the instrument:
After 3 months you may purchase the instrument you have been renting. We will put up to six months worth of rental toward the cost as below. If you wish to buy after 9 months we will still only deduct 6 months rental and the balance to pay will be the same as it was at 6months.
Stentor II Violin £175.00 – Balance to pay any time after 6 months rental £115.00
Stentor Conservatoire £20/month £295 – Balance to pay any time after 6 months rental £175.00
Returning the instrument:
You may return the instrument free of charge at any time after the initial 3-month period and not be liable for any more payments. Please do not cancel your Direct Debit until we confirm the instrument is back with us
Please email sales@caswellsstrings.com to arrange collection. The instrument will need to be properly packed and secured in a box so please retain the box you receive with it if you need to.
