Intermediate violas are most often, although no always, instrument only. By this level many players prefer to choose their own bow and case. The outfits available, however, have bows of appropriate quality to the instrument.

Intermediate violins have better tonewoods which in turn produces the sound. Generally set up with a quality bridge and quality strings these instruments should see a violist through their grades.
